+ Does your fruit contain any preservatives?

Many of our fruits are preserved with Sulphur Dioxide and this information can be found on the nutrition label on the back of the gift tray or package of fruits and nuts. We also have this information available on the individual items on our website.

+ How do I store dried fruit and how long will it keep?

One great characteristic of dried fruit is its ability to maintain nutritious wholesomeness in almost any environment for long periods of time. However, it keeps freshest sealed in an air tight bag, with most of the air squeezed out and refrigerated. As a general rule, dried fruit will keep 90 days at room temperature and a year or longer refrigerated.

+ I've stored my fruit for awhile and white stuff has formed on it. What is it?

This is a natural process in which the fruit's own natural sugar crystallizes on the surface. It is perfectly wholesome. In fact, some people prefer fruits like figs and dates to be completely sugared.

+ What if my fruit is too dry?

Simply add water to the fruit. Put your dried fruit in a small bowl and cover with boiling water. Let it steep for 10 to 15 minutes, and then strain the fruit and discard the water. The fruit will be plumper, juicier and softer.

+ Are your products Kosher Certified?

All products on our website are Star K Kosher.

+ Do your products contain Gluten?

No, all of our products are Gluten-Free.

+ Do you offer fruit or nuts that are all natural and free of preservatives?

+ Where do you ship?

We currently ship within the United States including Hawaii and Alaska.

+ How long will it take for you to process my order once received?

We try to process all orders within 1-2 business days of when received but situations do arise where there may be a delay and we will contact you by email or phone if we cannot process within the 1-2 business day timeframe. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding Federal US Holidays.

+ Do you offer free shipping?

No, we currently don’t offer free shipping for any orders.

+ The item/s I purchased are for sale now, do you honor price adjustments? 

Sometimes we need to change the cost of a product, either up or down. We only offer price adjustments if the item has not shipped yet. 

+ Can I cancel my order or make changes after it is placed?

If an order has NOT been shipped yet, we will do our best to try and make any adjustments requested or cancel the order if needed. If an order has been shipped, no adjustments or refunds can be made. 

+ If I place an order for curbside pickup, how long before I can pick it up at your location?  

Typically, we try to have pickup orders ready within a few hours or the next business day.

+ What is California Proposition 65?  

All of our products pass Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, but we also need to be compliant with all regulations set by California state. Due to California law, we are required to notify customers of low levels of naturally occurring elements in growing soil, even if there is a possibility that the product may or may not have any. The chemical(s) that may be found are considered to be dangerous only if consumed in large quantities.

Trace amounts of lead, cadmium and other metals and chemicals listed under California’s Proposition 65 are found in some of even the most carefully selected and sourced ingredients contained in Vacaville Fruit Company products. Lead, as an example, is a naturally occurring element that is found throughout the entire environment, including in soils where it can be taken up by natural plants and herbs all over the world. None of these elements are added by farmers or by Vacaville Fruit Company. We follow good manufacturing practices throughout our supply chain to minimize or eliminate any contamination.
